Hi, My name is Jenni Hogan and I am so lucky to have all of you in my life. Thanks for visiting and taking the time to find out more about me.

I live in Seattle with my wonderful husband Josh and beautiful daughter Siena. Josh is the reason I have the last name Hogan. I often get asked if I’m related to Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) or the Hulk Hogan clan. Although I know a lot about the movie “Crocodile Dundee”, and watched all episodes of ”Hogan Knows Best”, I don’t think that qualifies me as a relative. My husband doesn’t think we are at all related and since it’s his last name I’ll take that as fact. It would be fun to start the rumor though don’t you think? That’s not a knife, this is a knife! See I could be related?

During the day I work as a traffic anchor at KIRO TV. I got into television while I was at the University of Washington. At first I started studying Economics, as I love numbers. During my sophomore year I shared a house with 10 football players. A few of them got in trouble with the law and I was surprised at how the media covered it. I ended up writing a letter to “The Daily” (our school newspaper). They published it and when I walked into the gym that day, the athletes all thanked me for getting their side out. That was a huge moment for me. I realized how powerful the media is and loved being a part of helping people get their side out. After that I started taking Communication classes, and graduated with a double degree in Communications and Economics.

I grew up in Adelaide, Australia. It’s a wonderful city, right by the beach. It’s really a gem and you must visit if you’re ever Down Under. Let me know! My parents Lisa and Livio, still reside in Adelaide. My mum volunteers for SA tourism and is a wonderful tour guide, so she may very well be the smiling face you see when you jump off the cruise ship. My brother Adrian lives in Brisbane, where he is helping to build amazing landmarks as a Civil Engineer.

I left my family to come over to the US on the Australian National rowing team to race in the Windermere Cup. It’s a big race in Seattle. They invited the Australian Olympic team. One of the girls couldn’t make the trip and that’s when my phone rang. I was just a junior rower but got a phone call to join the big leagues. I’ll never forget when I made that team. That trip changed my life.

I was offered a rowing scholarship at UW and ended up coming over 2 years later to start school and join the Husky crew team. It was an amazing experience. During my 4  years we won two national championships, with my final race being one of them. What a way to end my rowing career. I was captain of the crew team that year and we won the biggest race of my life. GO DAWGS!

Now TV is my sport. I want to be great and I want to make waves. I crave feedback so feel free to let me know anything you think could make me bring you a smile in the mornings. I strive to create moments that will touch people for ever. Thanks for inviting me into your living room and thanks for your support.

I couldn’t keep pursuing my dreams without all of you cheering me on. I’m passionate about saying thank you by paying it forward. In 2010 I helped launch GoGirl Academy, a career acceleration program for women. The amazing things that happen when we all make a promise to help each other kick booty in life, keeps blowing me away. Thank you and dream big!
