My Fashion Friday dress today is a summer dress from Target. I felt like wearing a bright color today on TV to end the week off. Check out the picture below. It looks like this color is a popular one for TV ladies today. Even Gayle King on CBS had on a dress the same color too.

Help pick the look and name!

We’ve decided on a name for the social media TV special I’ll be hosting on June 7th at 7pm but the only question now is…. do we keep the “The” or drop the “The”.  You can vote right here at this link. I can’t wait to see which look and wording you pick.

The Social 7 OR Social 7???

Here are my thoughts:
- Our social media producer pointed out… Mark Zuckerburg, who isn’t doing so bad for himself right now, dropped the “The” from Facebook and it’s been on the up and up since then.
- Our floor director Tony pointed out… if you are covering 7 things then you should keep the “the”
- My husband Josh pointed out… how cute my hair looked in the up-do… wait that wasn’t my question? lol.. he also pointed out I think too much.

Keeping the change it up hair theme going. I tried an up-do on TV this morning. I’ve never worn my hair up on TV before so I’m super curious to hear what you think. It feels very formal to me but sort of fun to change it up a little! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! Go team hair consultants!!!

My mum and dad are in America visiting and today mum made a quick appearance on Star 101.5 FM. It turns out their listeners vote every year for a big award… my mum learned this award isn’t an Emmy but Kent and Alan the hosts tell her it’s even harder to get than an Emmy. Thanks mum for accepting this award for me.

Happy Fashion Friday. Here is the dress I wore on TV today. It got a lot of online chitter chatter and several of you missed the show and wanted to see it, so here is a pic. I got this one at Nordstrom Rack, back on the dress display. It’s quite unique as it has a zipper all the way down the front, also wondering about the color, not usually one I’d wear on TV.

Here is video from the big media rowing dual after the Windermere Cup press conference. Thanks to my amazing crew members we beat the other team by 2 seconds. It was a close race but an awesome one. Safe to say I’m sore today but my cheeks are also hurting from smiling so much, I had a blast.

The Windermere Cup is this Saturday with races starting at 10:20am on the Montlake Cut. 

Winning the NCAA National Championship

I’m getting ready to go and row for the first time in 10 years for a media race at the University of Washington. Here is a picture from the very last time I ever sat in a boat. It’s right after we won the National Championship race. What a memory! I was a little more beefed up back then (and thought blonde hair would for some reason look good on me). I’m really hoping I make you all proud as I go for the victory today. I’m bringing my secret weapon teammates Brooke Fox from Movin 92.5 and our KIRO 7 Sports Anchor Chris Francis, along with stacking my boat with UW Varsity rowers (smart)… Goooo team!
